UniHealth Home Care, Inc. is committed to the protection of our patients and their families including all staff of the Healthcare Team from the spread of infectious disease. In these unprecedented times, it is important that we unite together to be vigilant and be informed on measures to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. At UniHealth Home Care, we are constantly monitoring the directives from our state and local public officials on how we can safely protect and support everyone impacted by this situation.

You can count on us to continue to provide and deliver our care to you. As we continue to deliver healthcare services in the field, we keep the highest safety precaution in mind to remain in-service to you. We are here to deliver Optimal Health.

UniHealth Home Care ensures that all Health Care Providers and all staff receive continuous updates from the state and local county health departments regarding COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures

We created guidelines for all who are involved in the care of our patients and their families in response to the COVID-19 outbreak with the goal of minimizing transmission to other individuals while continuing the clinical services we provide to our patients.

  • We reviewed our Infection Control guidelines and have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures to keep our equipment cleaner and safer to use. We informed our staff with the detailed steps on the use of PPE with the application of standard infection prevention principles.
  • We created pre-screening questionnaires prior to scheduled visits to identify promptly any potential patients/family members who maybe sick and may require information on preventive measures. This is done via telephone call prior to clinicians coming to patient’s location.
  • We established a protocol to ensure that any of our Care Team members who are high risk or has any respiratory symptoms to stay home and stop seeing patients.
  • We limit our Care Team members to visit not more than 5 patients per day to reduce the travel and in-person interaction, with the thought of making sure we remain in continuity in the provision of care services to our patients.

We remind our patients that we are available on-call 24/7 for any related questions you may have regarding your care and we encourage our patients as well to continue to check CDC guidelines and Santa Clara Public Health websites for additional information regarding COVID-19. http://www.sccgov.org/sites/phd/Pages/phd.aspx
